February 5, 2019

In New England, where winters typically bring a cold spell, warm lattes, furry boots, and thick jackets are the norm. For some, even changes in eating habits can occur. If you’re a die-hard ice cream lover, perhaps the winter months get you down, or, if you’re like many – you don’t stop eating your favorite treat just because the temperature outside is cold enough to keep it from melting in your hands.

Ice Cream Made from Snow

A new trend that’s gaining steam and bringing ice cream to the front of everyone’s mind’s this winter is, “snow cream.” This treat is a D.I.Y hack of sorts that involves gathering freshly fallen snow into a bowl and then mixing it with different flavorings.

Play it Safe, Rent an Ice Cream Truck

Since everyone’s already got ice cream on the mind, why not treat them to an outing and rent an ice cream truck for the event. Rather than run outside to gather snow (there hasn’t even been much accumulation in these parts) and possibly picking up some dirt or other danger from the outdoors, serve them tasty, nostalgic treats they’ve come to enjoy. Like Choco Taco or Strawberry Shortcake – or perhaps even a snow cone that’s ready to go!
