Spring Mint: All About the Cool Ice Cream Flavor

Since we’re in the month of March, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, and headed into the spring season – we thought it would be a great time to talk about one of the best ice cream flavors out there- Mint! Its cool taste is perfect for the spring season and it just so happens to also be colored green to keep with the theme! As one of the bestselling ice cream flavors of all time, it combines the cool taste of mint (sometimes spearmint or peppermint) with sweet chocolate bits and is perfect as an end-of-meal treat—especially in the spring when going for a walk or sitting outdoors to enjoy the weather.

Mint Chocolate Chip Recipe

Here’s a quick easy recipe we found online if you prefer the organic ice cream route or just want to whip some up at home.

• 2 Cups Milk
• 2 Cups Heavy Cream
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 2 Drops Green Food Coloring
• 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla
• 1 teaspoon Mint, Spearmint or Peppermint flavoring
• ½ teaspoon Salt

Churn or use ice cream maker and freeze for at least 2 hours.
